Centrale Montemartini Museum

One of the museums of Comune Rome, named after Giovanni Montemartini. In 1912 it was inaugurated as the first public electricity plant in Rome and presently it has second large collection of antique sculptures of Capitoline Museums and excavations founded in Rome at the end of 19th Century and beginninig 20th Century. In Centrale Montemartini are four rooms, where you can see beautiful ancient sculptures such as Borghese Head of Hera, statue of Pothos, Statuette of Asclepius and many others. Into four rooms there are also exhibitions of industry in past – two giant diesel engines, steam turbine and others.
The contrast between classical artworks and industrial past makes this museum one of the most visited museums in Rome.

Barracco Museum

Another museum of Comune Rome. There is housed the splendid collection of antique sculpture, that collected and donated, in 1904 to the City of Rome, Giovanni Barracco. The collection of sculptures includes Greek, Phoenician, Roman, Egyptian, Assyrian, Cypriot and Etruscan Art. In Barracco Museum are two floors, that are divided into themed rooms in chronological order, from Egyptian to the late Imperial Ages. Egyptian Art : In Barracco Museum You can admire artworks from 3000BC to the end of Roman Era, such as Funerary Mask, Wooden statue, Portrait of a bearded priest and next.
From Assyrian-Sumerian Art are represented in Barracco Museum artworks from VII to VI century BC for example Nail from the foundation. In Barracco Museum are housed also many originals from important sculptor Polyclitus and his school. (Greek Art)

Napoleonic Museum

One of the museums of Comune Rome. In 1927 Giuseppe Primoli donated to the Comune Rome his significant collection of Art with Napoleonic relics, family’s memories with the rooms of the ground floor in the palace, in which the collection is represented.
The collection is dedicated to three important moments in Napoleonic’s life: the actual Napoleonic period, the Roman period and the period of the second Empire.
Some rooms in Napoleonic Museum have retained the original ceiling from 18th century.
