Trevi Fountain

Luxury Tour of Trevi Fountain

Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous and also largest fountain in the world, is placed in square Trevi, in Rome. This beautiful fountain was made by Nicola Salvi between 1734-1763, who was inspired by the Berninian style.

The wonderful artwork of baroque sculpture, carved out of marble, which presents a chariot in the form of a shell, in which the great statue of Neptune (the king of the sea) stands. The chariot is drawn by marine horses.

In 1990 here came to being the movie La Dolce vita, created by the director Federico Fellini. This film popularized the thought of throwing coins into the fountain. By the traditional legend, everyone who visit Trevi Fountain, should throw one coin into the water in fountain, for coming back to Rome. Another one makes you wish something.

These coins are collected each night (approximately 3 000 Euros a day) and have been used for charity.
